At In Motion Sports Massage and Holistic Room, your massage therapy treatment is designed to meet your individual needs, whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, tension release, or simply relaxation. Each session is a personalized experience tailored to your body’s unique requirements.

Before your treatment begins, we’ll discuss any areas of concern, injuries, or goals you may have, ensuring a treatment plan that addresses both physical and emotional well-being. During the session, a variety of techniques may be used, from gentle Swedish relaxation strokes to deep tissue work, depending on what your body needs at that moment. Additional modalities like cupping, Myofascial Release Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, or Reiki can be incorporated to enhance the therapeutic effects.

Expect a serene and calming environment, where you can fully relax as your therapist works to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and help restore balance to your body. Whether it’s your first visit or a regular appointment, our goal is to provide a deeply therapeutic and restorative experience that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and aligned.

Relaxation massage vs Massage therapy treatment: A relaxation massage is meant for those that are coming to improve blood flow, circulation and relaxation. I won't be talking your ear off. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to let go & un wind.

Relaxation Massage

A Massage therapy treatment is designed to meet your individual needs, whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, tension release, on going injury or you just need a tune up. Each session is a personalized experience tailored to your body’s unique requirements. 

How is a massage therapy treatment different from a relaxation massage? 
This isn't your "typical" massage. During your treatment it is possible that the therapist will have you in different positions on the table to apply different modalities. This form of treatment can be more interactive for feedback and re assessment throughout. Please bring active wear just in case (short shorts, sports bra...).

Before your treatment begins, we’ll discuss any areas of concern, injuries, or goals you may have, ensuring a treatment plan that addresses your wellbeing and preferences. During the session, a variety of modalities may be used from Swedish massage techniques, cupping, Myofascial Release Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Osteopathic techniques... depending on what your body needs at that moment. If you are hoping for one specific modality for your treatment, please specify at booking (e.g Cranial Sacral therapy, Myofascial release, Osteopathic tune up).

Massage Therapy Treatment

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique that promotes deep relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being. During a Reiki session at In Motion Sports Massage and Holistic Room, the therapist channels healing energy into your body by placing their hands just above or lightly on specific areas. This process helps to balance the body’s energy, clear blockages, and stimulate your natural healing processes.

What to expect during your Reiki treatment:

You’ll remain fully clothed and comfortably positioned on the massage table. Soft music and a calming atmosphere will enhance your relaxation.
The session typically begins with a brief discussion to understand your emotional, mental, or physical concerns. From there, you’ll simply lie back and allow yourself to relax.
Throughout the treatment, you may feel a warm or tingling sensation, or simply a deep sense of calm. Reiki is highly intuitive, and each session can be a unique experience. Whether you're dealing with physical discomfort, emotional stress, or simply need an energy reset, Reiki can help restore balance.
Reiki is ideal for those seeking a holistic approach to healing, as it works on both the mind and body. It can be a standalone treatment or a wonderful complement to other therapies such as cranial sacral therapy or massage. Leave your session feeling refreshed, centered, and more at peace.

This treatment can not be billed under insurance unless combined with some massage.

Energy Treatment (Reiki/CST)

Cant attend an in person treatment? No problem. Distance reiki can be set up via a phone call or zoom session to discuss treatment and to receive. Reiki is a form of universal energy that goes to where ever it is needed (physical, mental or emotional needs). The practitioner helps guide the energy to help remove any blockages in your energy system.

Distance Reiki

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.

Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which our therapists use a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.

Hands-On Treatment

Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the therapist to accurately detect fascial restrictions and apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia.

Clients are asked to come with a bathing suit or comfortable clothes that allow access to the skin.
